Empowering women to ignite their entrepreneurial journey.

Program Overview

This workshop training for female entrepreneurs is an initiative by the GoGetter Movement supported by the Mandela Washington Fellowship’s “Leveraging Innovation in New Communities” (LINC) program who’s is aimed at equiping young and aspiring female entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe with the entrepreneurial skills necessary to make it in a changing world. We believe that, for young people to thrive in today's innovation-driven economies, they need a different mix of skills than was required in the past. To complement skills such as literacy, numeracy and technical know-how, young people need "soft" skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration across networks, agility and adaptability, initiative and entrepreneurism, effective oral and written communication, ability to access and analyse information, curiosity and imagination. In pursuance of the GoGetter Movement's mantra to create convening platforms where young women network, build capacity and thrive, we have embarked on this project to upskill young and aspiring female entrepreneurs so that they are able to champion their futures, having the necessary skills to cultivate economic prosperity for themselves and their communities.
